Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good investment for my older OttLite! My base was delivered today. Other reviewers have said the base didn’t fit their older lights. I purchased my 18W “True Color” floor lamp in 2002 . . .the wheeled base fits perfectly. I took the advice of another customer, who suggested laying the lamp on a bed to install the base. This worked well! Initially, my lamp felt wobbly. I discovered I needed to/could tighten the bolt a lot more and that did the job!

It needs to be returned "when the stores re-open" according to the local store I called for return.

The light I purchased states that it is compatible with the wheeled base, however it did not fit when husband tried to assemble. Frustrated I double checked what I had ordered and to my dismay found that the lights listed as compatible with the BASE instructions did NOT include what I chose. Bad information...had to return.

I was carrying the lamp between two rooms, but it was very awkward and also hard on the lamp.... the base was becoming loose and the lamp getting unstable. With this base, i can easily wheel the lamp from room to room. And the lamp is no longer wobbling. It was easy to attach. I laid the lamp on a bed rather than the floor

The lamp I have it lightweight enough that I don't necessarily NEED any help moving it around my space, but I like having it. I will mod it with a bungee cord and it'll be perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Totally love this and very pleased with my purchase. The only negative thing is that it comes with 3 packages that each has a nut, bolt and washer. Your type of pole is what determines which package you use to install you lamp on the base. None of the three packages are labeled in anyway, so that makes it a bit difficult when you start. After that it is very easy to assemble and I absolutely love it and am so glad I made the purchase.
