Awful Product!!
I bought this rather expensive product and boy was I unhappy with it! It destroyed my butter cream! It caused it to separate and made it very loose and I used far less than was recommended. It did not alter the flavor but the frosting was completely unusable. When I contacted Wilton about returning it, I was told I couldn't because its a "food item." The Wilton rep did not offer any other solution, just that there was nothing they could do for me. So I'm SOL with this super crappy rather expensive product that I'll never use again! Very frustrating!

wilton's food colors are wonderful dyes for wool
I am a spinner of wool and dye fleeces prior to spinning them into yarn or dye the yarn after I have spun the fiber on my spinning wheel. Wilton food colors dye rich, vibrant colors that become colorfast with the addition of vinegar. It is so easy to make different colors using the color chart that is included and best yet it is safe to include children in the dyeing projects because it is food quality.

Excellent product - Packaging issue
I've really enjoyed using this food coloring set and have found all of the colors that I've used to far to be incredibly vibrant and true to color. The only reason that this has four stars and not five is because a couple of the colors were not sealed properly in the bottle and I wound up getting food coloring all over my hands. I don't believe this to be Joann's fault, but rather a fault of the Wilton company for not sealing their products properly.

I have not used this product as of yet, but I know that it will be fantastic to color cakes, candy, etc. I still have coloring that dates back 25 years and find that it is great and colors consistent with my needs.

Vibrant and Colorful, Mostly
I received this as a Christmas gift, and I love them. They're not perfect, as you sometimes need to use a lot of the reds and blues to get the right colors, and they sometimes have an aftertaste. For variety and vibrance, though, you can't do much better.

ALL the colors you need in one box! & no more mess
This is an awesome kit! I love how cleanly the coloring comes out of the bottles and the drops are very disntinct. The drops come out slowly so if you need a half a drop you can accomplish that as well. I love not having to have a ton of messy food coloring containers in my cupboard. I will never go back! The formulas so far have been very accurate for color mixing as well. Love it!

No I would not buy again
I was making frosting last night and wanted a vibrant red. I literally had to use 1/2 the bottle and then my frosting tasted like food coloring...I'm not happy with these dies.

These dyes are true to color and VERY concentrated. A little goes a long way. I hear a lot of people say they can never get a true, non-pink red. The Crimson in this set will give you that elusive red!

Make in a larger bottle!
Absolutely LOVE this color system, however I wish they were sold in larger bottles. I would buy a new box set if the bottles were like 3x the size of the small standard bottle!

Many color recipes and options
Many options for colors, including recipes/ratios for several. Like how much blue and yellow for certain greens, but did thin my buttercream a bit with deeper or vibrant colors. I was surprised how much black it takes to make black not just dark grey.

The only colors I use now...with one exception.
I only decorated cookies with royal icing and this is now the only color system I use now. It started out of necessity when my husband was overseas and it was the only colors available at our local Exchange, but after a few months of using it, I figure out how to get any color I want. The handy chart inside is helpful, but go search the web and other users share their formulas. I have no issues with the colors changing the flavor of the icing too much. The only exception is I do have to purchase a separate bottle of white color since I like to add it when I am using pure white icing or I want to lighten a color a bit.

Wish you could but individual bottles
I live the variety of colours I can get with this! Only problem is that I'm not completely out of yellow and not near out of any of the other colours. I've found many colours require a lot of yellow so it's disproportionate. I don't really want to have to buy another whole box! Wilton, please sell the colours individually for people who use this system often!

Terrible color choices
Purchased this product because of the variety it showed on the box of colors and a color code for mixing. Opened the box and found 2 crimson, 2 pink, 2 yellow and 2 brown. Who ever uses brown for a base? No blue. So I can't make any shade of blue. Or green. Or purple. Bad purchase.

I like this product for customizing my colors.
I have used this product for about 5 years and would continue to use it if I could purchase it locally. I don't like to buy online and would prefer to purchase it at a store. Why has this become so hard to find?

Incomplete set
I bought this set to use for my daughter's birthday cake. I didn't open it until the day before when I was decorating the cake and it came with 2 crimson bottles and NO PINK. My daughter's favourite colour is pink! The colours are great but this slip up is awful.

LOVE IT!
Because it's been awhile since I've done cake decorating, it'll take some time to get used to working with it. However I don't think it will be hard or take long -- mainly to get more in the icing than on my hands. (I have Parkinson's.)

I bought the colored dyes for a new Eaater Egg project for the kids. They loved it! The dye was bright and true! Ans we didn't have to use too much! I highly recommend for all food coloring projects!

Not Pleased
I used red and black for a plaid/lumberjack theme birthday party. I couldn't get the right colors that I needed. I put so much red color into my buttercream that the consistency changed and was too thin to pipe and keep its shape. I remade my buttercream with the red, but I wasn't satisfied with the color. It was too pink for my liking. The black color was very watery and made my buttercream look grainy.
