Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun product I bought these pens so I could decorate some cut out cookies. I had a lot of fun, but had a few issues at first. The tips have both a fine tip and a thicker base. You have to be careful to bold the pens straight up to get the fine mark. If not a bigger smudge will mark instead. The only other issue I had was the black pen turned the marks green after it set for a while on the white icing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for simple design I typically use the black food write most of all in order to give fondant characters easy eyes, or other features. I also use these a lot to write out words on small details that I don't feel like I want to use royal icing on. It's served my purposes many times. But of course, it only works on low moisture items like fondant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy for Kids to Use I bought this for brothers ages 3, 5, and 7 to decorate Christmas cookies. It was so much easier for them than the tubes of icing. Their mom appreciated that there were five pens so no one had to wait their turn to use them. It went much further than those little tubes of gel icing.
