Everyone loves my Baby Closet !
I bought my wooden crate to make a baby closet for my Niece, and it is so cute! It is very thick and sturdy, and has plenty of room to hold items. I painted it light pink on the inside and hot pink on the outside. I purchased letters from Joann's and painted them light pink as well to match the inside. I also bought a beautiful large rose and a rose arch, both from Joann's to add as decorations to the final look. It's so pretty that I have started to get orders from family and friends and I will be adding them as a regular option to my small business. Not solid wood. Flimsy and poor craftsmanship.
I do not understand the good reviews on this. Maybe the quality just went down. I bought these to make a Father's Day present. I ordered online to pick it up at the store. I returned immediately. While the product description says it's solid wood, it's rather a pine, flimsy material. It does not take much to break it or hurt your fingers on it.

i bought these to make my children christmas eve boxes, i painted them & was waiting for them to dry. i touched one of the slats & seriously very lightly dabbed my finger on it & it snapped in half. thought maybe it was just a fluke thing. started painting my third box, went to turn it over & one of the slats cracked @ the staple & a big chunk fell out. i ended up replacing the slats as i last minute was making them the night before xmas eve (oops) & had some extra wood pieces lying around in the garage. really bummed as i thought they were really great price & figured i could use them for future crafts.

nice to use as a storage for canvas'
I bought these to ensure that I would have a place to store my painted picture canvas's. These crates are perfect to put them in, (16x20 size). They are also a perfect size for the garbage bag to protect my canvas's. -Just right fit, right over it.

Flimsy & rough
Ordered 3 for kids’ room storage and also as easy seating for kids outside. These are super rough and splintery and will definitely need sanding. The laths are flimsy and stapled in but don’t seem particularly sturdy. My 40lb kid sat on it turned upside down and it bowed so much that I told him to get off. We had planned to mount one to the wall and use for books, but I wouldn’t put anything heavy in it.

I use crates to carry items to craft shows and then in my displays. I purchased 4 of these last month and found many of the surfaces to be rough with lots of splinters. The large stickers on the ends left a lot of residue when removed. Also, 2 of the side panels have already come unstapled. After I sand them and reinforce the stapled joints with glue, they will be great. However, other crates I've purchased were ready to go as is!

Did you ever envision something in your mind, and then go online trying desperately to find exactly what you want??? I searched every store I could think of. Nada. Then I came here. Bingo! My dream came true! I just received my 3 crates, and had to sit for a minute sniffing them! I love the smell of unfinished wood. Thank you for a great product and extremely fast shipping!

What amazing things you can do with crates!
My step daughter built this to use as a coffee center and an appliance center and is going to put little 3”x3” flickering flame less candles in the 2 little square openings ... so proud of her! On to project #2 a vegetable keeper using 4 crates!p, and a lid! Smart girl! Unfortunately unable to upload photo!
