The Midwest Products Basswood Sheets are ideal for a wide variety of hobby, craft and miniature projects, and a favorite for carving. Thin basswood may be cut with a hobby knife while thicker basswood requires a saw for cutting. Basswood may be stained or painted to represent any type of wood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing wood! Great for laser engravers. I’m so happy with the texture and everything about this wood. The item is as described and I’m not sure why the other comment says it’s not. The wood is super durable and cuts very nicely with my laser engraver.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product description is wrong So that no one else has the issue I have: the product description says this is a package of 10 sheets of basswood (one of the picture even shows it as a package). I have previously bought a package of 10 so I assumed that 10 would arrive. I ordered 3 packages of 10. I received 3 individual sheets (not 30). I called customer service and they only provided a refund. But I needed and wanted all of the sheets. The description should be updated if this no longer includes 10 sheets. It also said there were 10 available at my local JoAnn and when I went there, there were no packages of 10 at all. I figured it was an inventory mistake and ordered online. The wood itself is great, I am frustrated that I didn't receive the right amount.
