Bernat Pipsqueak Yarn is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 103.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jan Love, love, love, this yarn. I knit and crochet. i found this yarn very difficult to crochet but beautiful to knit with. I am making baby bunny banket buddies, and because the yarn is so fluffy it hides any mistakes joins, and sewing the head up at the top. So forgiving to any knitter. I did crochet one blanket even if it was difficult and it is beautiful. The blanket buddies are so cute and I sell them on Etsy, can also be viewed on Raverly. Yes, it sheds some but no where near excessive, it should not be a proble at all for anyone, I believe once washed and dried should take care of this. Hope the stores will continue carrying it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I bought this to make a baby blanket that is basically the typical dishcloth pattern, so that the texture creates an alternating teddy bear. Found out very quickly that you can't see the stiches at all, so there would be no texture to create the teddy bears. I frogged it and started a sample to see what it would look/feel like. It was very soft, but when I had my husband feel it he said it felt weird. Like plastic, maybe. I also found that little bits of fuzz got all over me as I worked. If it sheds so much, is this really a good yarn to use for babies? Maybe so, maybe not.

Rated 0 out of 5 by from Stitches don't show! I bought this yarn thinking it would make a great baby blanket and ended up taking the yarn back to the store! While it is very soft, the stitches don't show up at all so it's very hard to work with. I was using it for a crochet pattern and even the stitches in the beginning chain were impossible to see. Then I tried it for a knitted pattern and it was just as bad. There might be a trick to using this yarn but I was never able to figure it out. I definitely don't recommend this yarn for a beginner and would caution an experienced person to really think about it before buying the yarn and going through the frustration of not being able to work with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So beautifully soft!! I bought this yarn in combination with the Bernat baby blanket yarn and made a baby blanket for my soon arriving grandson, along with matching mommy and baby hats. It was very difficult to see the stitches, but the yarn is so silky and soft and forgiving of any mistakes! Combined with the blanket yarn (I used the funny bunny print in both the blanket and pipsqueak and switched off with white) the blanket was nice and bulky and soo fluffy! I also used the pipsqueak white as a fluffy white border around the blanket. I was so excited to see the pipsqueak come in chocolate as I started an afghan with earth tones and I want to add the same soft touch that the pipsqueak gives to the bulk of the blanket yarn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Baby Pipsqueak is so soft I bought last month and have not worked with it yet but have seen things that have been with this yarn and it is really soft for a new baby. I am making a knit blanket with the Baby Sport yarn for first great grandchild and will make another with the pipsqueak and attach the two to make one really warm blanket. I will have the pipsqueak for the inside which will be next to the baby. We live in New England and with our cold and snowy winters this will make a great blanket when taking the baby out to appointments or visiting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best on a loom This product is a bit difficult to crochet with, but can work for flowers and the like, but I found this yarn to work great on a knitting loom. One thing I don't like about looms is if the yarn isn't thick enough then you can see all the gaps, this yarn fills in the gaps and makes a beautiful blanket, hat or scarf. My daughter loves it and I am currently making her a large blanket with this product. My only complaint would be that I can only get the purple yarn at the actual Joann's store, which can sometimes suck, but not always. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Soft and Fun to Work With I had read some of the reviews before purchasing this yarn. Some said that it was a messy yarn. There is some mess with it, but anything to keep me from working with it. I did try to crochet with it and was not pleased with heaviness of it. I was making a baby blanket and seemed like it was way too heavy for a newborn. So I decided to try to try knitting with it instead. I am using a simple stockinette stitch and it is making a difference in how much lighter the blanket feels. I am making baby items for my two granddaughters. One is engaged and the other just graduated from college. I decided that before my eyes and hands gave out on me, that I would make some baby items and pack them away so that when the day comes they will have something from their grandmother for their children.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So soft! I absolutely love this yarn! I love how soft it feels! I made my friend a blanket for her baby girl and I made one for my daughter too, and I've started on another one because I love it so much! My baby won't be here till april, but my friend's baby loves the blanket! She said that whenever she puts it on her she smiles and rubs it on her face. It is really hard to start the first chain, it's hard to see the stitches, but once you get the first row down you can feel where the stitches are pretty easily. I love it so much! I just wish they had a larger color selection.
