June Tailor Quilter's Cut'N Press II Board is rated 3.8823529411764706 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits Horn cabinet I went to Joann's looking for a pressing board to fit my Horn cabinet. It has a return at a fight angle to the sewing machine that is meant for a serger. I don't own a serger, but use my machine for machine piecing quilts. This product fits the serger surface perfectly. I keep the iron at my side and only use the large ironing board for yard goods. This mat is generous enough for piecing and organizing small sets. Those who had trouble with warping... take it back. Probably a defective lot. I've had two of these (this one and a 12x12) for 5 and 10 years. No warping. I am sure the company wants to know this so they can look into why and make you into a satisfied customer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like it, but.... I have had this mat for way over 10 years. I love the concept. I keep a sewing machine, iron and this board at work so I can sew on my lunch hour. However, the reason I haven't given it a higher rating is because I have found that the cutting side dulls my rotary blade way too fast. It has also warped, but that could be due to probably close to 15 years of use and the pressing side is disgusting looking, again probably due to all the use it gets. I can't complain too much, I definitely got my money's worth. I am planning to buy another one. My only comment to the company is to do something about the mat. It is too hard & unforgiving. for the record, I have been quilting since 1975 before rotary cutters & mats & sewing for 52 yrs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Remake this with removable/washable pressing side I have bought two of these cutting/pressing boards. The first one, I threw out because the cloth side was a dirty mess from using Seam A Seam fusible sheets and it was also warped. I figured out it was from using my iron on steam setting. I have a second board, and though it's dirty and warped, I will keep it for pressing fusible quilting fabric. I'll buy another of these and keep it for pressing unfused fabric. It's a shame with all the advancements in products nowdays, June Taylor Company coudn't make this with a velco-removable top which could be washed, and a non-warping plastic cutting side. Buy it only for the pressing side to put next to your sewing machine. The cutting side is not worth using, use a regular cutting mat for your projects.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Handy I love the convenience of a small pressing surface to do piecing work. I use a piece of muslin as a pressing cloth to protect the surface of the mat because it does get dirty in short order, especially if using fusible products. The cutting side of the board is not terrific but will do in a pinch. It is too hard and makes cutting accurately a bit tricky. I suspect that it contributes to dulling rotary blades so I don't use it much except to check how square my piecing is coming along. For that reason I think it is convenient rather than going to my cutting table to check on my large cutting mat. I use another small mat. I have the large one and plan on buying a smaller one to put next to another machine and for taking with m

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great idea, poor execution I love the idea of the mat, and have owned three. Unfortunately, I have to buy a new one a couple times a year. I've never had the mat separate from the board, nor have I had much of a problem with warping. But the ironing side becomes filthy quickly, and I haven't found anything that cleans it well. I've ruined too many fabrics because it just seems to attract dirt. I'm certainly open to suggestions!

Rated 0 out of 5 by from A Great Idea - Bad Execution After two years of owning the Cut'n Press, I finally had to get rid of it. The cutting mat was curling up on the edges. No matter how many times I tried to re-attach it with my glue gun or super glue, it wouldn't stay put. I love the idea of this product, but they need to find a better solution than hot glue to attach the mat to the board.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I thought I was the one The concept of the product is great. But the mat warped in less in a year.I thought I did something wrong so I bought another one. This time the lines on the cutting side started came off after I used it a couple of times. It also warped in a few months.I e-mailed June Tailor & they replaced the mat. Now a year later this mat is warped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I love my cut n press. I leave it out on my drafting board and use it every day for hours at a time. I have finally worn it out after at least 7 years, but I will still keep it. I washed the press side and will now use the old one for "sticky" press jobs and the new one for my regular quilt piecing projects. It's also just the right size for travel to classes, all over the country.
