Not what I expected
If I didn't purchase this with a coupon, I most likely would have returned it. As a beginner knitter, I found the book to not be very great. I was super excited to try knitting the pink scarf on the cover, but it requires circular needles, which is confusing as I bought this kit specifically to learn how to knit with straight needles. Overall, if you want to learn how to knit from the beginning, there are lots of great youtube videos for free.

Great Starter Kit
I bought this Kit in the Fall of 2014. I had never knitted before and really wanted to learn. The Kit had everything (except the yarn) I needed to get started and the instructions were easy to understand. Since purchasing this Kit, I have made 4 scarves and 2 blankets. If you are eager to learn how to knit, this Kit is a good choice to get you started.

Several projects already complete!
I bought this kit a little over a month ago and it has so many nifty tricks and saves for beginner mistakes. While I am not too interested in all of the patterns this kit gives you enough parts, information and ideas to be a successful new knitter. This was a good investment into my knitting future!
