Rated 2 out of 5 by from Will NOT work in my machine I purchased this thread because I wanted a metallic black in a design I was using on a gift. It was terrible. It does not feed correctly and even with the tension reduced, it stretched and snapped. I might try to use it for hand work, but it does not work in either my embroidery machine or my sewing machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Devil’s in the Details! I used this gold thread on four giant custom bean bag chairs with folded fell seams, and had no problems. It is a strong metallic thread from my experience. The gold contrast on fuchsia dupioni really pops. Also used this on silkessence silky solids and it sewed well on the lighter weight fabric, too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Breaks often I loved this multi-color metallic thread when I found it in the store. It is flat and seems to be plastic and has some stretch to it before it breaks. I am making a quilt from my old rock T's and use the thread to sew decorative lines across the fabric and to interfacing to reinforce the T-shirting material. If I sew very very slowly the thread cooperates better but you never know when it will break completely having to start over. If you are patient or have time it looks amazing against the black t-shirt material. I used a straight stitch and a zigzag, I like both but the zigzag takes longer but seems more stable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for Temporary Stitching I do a lot of cross stitching, some of the designs I have in progress are 450 stitches wide and 780 stitches long. And I love this for gridding out my fabric into 10x10 blocks. It helps me keep my place in my stitching and the shine makes it easy to see. Because it's metallic, my needle doesn't accidently split it like regular thread, so when I'm done the temporary gridding stitches slide right out from any threads that might have gone over them. I find this to be a wonderful cross stitching tool.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't bother This thread frays when going through the needle and breaks easily. I can stitch for about 2 in. before it breaks. I have changed needles and tension to no avail. I would not recommend this product.
