I was able to control the lines and exactly where I wanted the icing to fall. Even though it’s for cookies, it worked great for my cakes!

Wilton Cookie Icing

I found it to be so easy for him to use because you can get such a precise drawing on the cookie and it's hard for him to mess up. It just makes it so easy for him to put whatever design he want. One of the best things is that it tastes really good. We will be using this from now on! It's a great product!!!

The icing is great when you're in a pinch and don't have time to make your own. Be careful not to microwave it too long or it will be too runny and you'll need to let it cool down some before using.

Convenient but not foolproof!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not a talented baker, nor do I decorate cookies more than about twice a year, so I like these convenient squeeze-bottle cookie icings by Wilton. The only catch is that they are by no means foolproof. If you get the texture wrong, you will make squiggly lines anytime you try to make a straight line. They are not kidding when they say to microwave it for only a few seconds at a time (like 5 maybe.) If you microwave it too much, you can let it sit for a while to cool down, otherwise it might be too thin and hard to control.
The icing itself is very innocuous---it tastes exactly how you would expect decorator icing to taste---basically like plain sugar paste. I don't understand some of the negative reviews. The icing is meant to make your cookies pretty--not to add a ton of flavor!

I seen spreads easily, you can add a little bit of food color to it to make it a different color. But mostly the taste of it is what is the best. It’s not sickening sweet but just the right amount of sweetness

Still, if you don't need perfectly formed designs, or prefer to flood your cookies, this works in a pinch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This icing was just ho hum. It was a bit hard to get out of the bottle due to its consistency. It also had an odd taste, almost like plastic. Overall I wasn't very impressed and don't see myself purchasing this to use again. I can see the perks of having icing ready to go whenever you need, but I really feel like this would make any cookies I used it on worse than before.

It a very large bottle so it last a while, it covers 16 3in cookies and it taste really good too!! Don't forget to microwave as recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used these to ice some sugar cookies for Easter. Overall it was very easy to use. The oval shape bottle is easy to grip and squeeze in order to ice the correct amount. The frosting came out consistent in color and texture, there was no sign of separation and the white dried down as a crisp white. It dried nicely with enough time to finish the cookie and correct any mistakes. The tip of the bottle was a medium line. Not too fine. It’s a twist and seal top. Overall it’s an easy to use product. even if you don’t have a lot of experience icing cookies

Tastes great, easy to use, looks pretty!
I've used these a few times now and I have been very pleased. You can easily achieve pretty designs using the "flooding" technique (lots of videos are out there with easy instructions), and the flavor is great. It's not quite a solid as royal icing when it dries, so you may not want to stack cookies, but it does dry to a firmness that looks clean and professional. I love the fact that it's vegan so there's no icky eggs involved, raw or otherwise. I'm not at all good at decorating cookies, but I love now mine came out. :)

Very Runny!
I bought several of these in various colors for a cookie decorating party. We followed the directions on the back of the bottle about microwaving until desired consistency. They never changed consistency. We put them in the microwave for 5-10 second intervals after the initial 15-20 and they never hardened up. They just poured like syrup or water out of the bottles and were quite gross. Every bottle did this. I will be attempting to return every bottle.
