Punch Needle
I have never tried this craft before. Once I got the proper size hoop and strand threaded, I set the needle at 1 and tried to make stitches. No luck, just holes. I watched several youtube videos but I couldnt find a Boyz punch needle. I read this product's reviews and as recommended by 1 person, removed the guide and Voila! stitches. I also realized this kit is reverse of youtube videos. The LOOP side is final side, so I left the string on the side i was stitching on instead of pulling it out as seen on videos behind the hoop. Once I left the tail on the "back" side and moved the guide down to 3, we were in business. So far, I love the ease of the product and the fluffy coat of the llama.
Make sure your fabric is tight on a plastic hoop, and as you work, re tighten the fabric.
Keep your bevel pointed open side facing the direction you are working, leave the tail out on the printed side of the fabric, move the guide to 3. I may get brave and see what the loop size is on #2 setting. Happy Punching!

overall nice product
Once I figured out the correct ply for embroidery floss and got a hang of the motion to use needle it was actually pretty simple to use. I choose to the use it with hoop embroidery kit. What I don't like is that product is not available in stores but kits are that require this needle are.It also does not come with extra needle as described in the description.

Difficult to use

Fun tool, no extra threaders.
I love this tool, I use it a lot. I like to use the Clover high tension hoop and weavers cloth with DMC threads. What makes me super frustrated is that the threader tool is so flimsy that it inevitably will break. I do not understand WHY these tools are in stock at almost every JoAnn but you can't find replacement threaders in store. I hate putting away my projects to wait for a mail ordered threader tool :(
