I think those were the only scissors on our house for 20 years and she still has them. These seem like they would follow suit! String, sharp and durable!

High quality scissors

When I was younger we always had just an all-purpose pair of cheap scissors around the house for every task. With these heavy high quality trimmers I can cut fabric for projects cleanly and precisely. So much better than the plastic and aluminum scissors we use for everything else. They cut so well that they have been reserved for only the important things.

The reason I gave them only three stars is because of the size. If you have larger hands these are not comfortable at all. You must have very small hands to be able to use these for than a couple of minutes. If the finger holes were made larger to be more comfortable for large hands these would be absolutely perfect and deserve five stars

Smooth cutting, petite size scissors
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have smallish hands as a petite woman and I love these 7” scissors for cutting patterns. They are also great for cutting fabric, but I like to keep separate pairs of scissors specifically for pattern cutting and fabric. This pair of Ginghers has a smaller hand grip, not just smaller length shears so keep that in mind. I am very happy with this pair of Ginghers, they are extremely well made and with good care they will last at least a lifetime. Highly recommend!

Does not include sheath
Great scissors, I've never owned fancy sewing scissors so ordered these as a treat for myself. They really do cut perfectly. However I'm disappointed in Joann mislabeling their description and saying these "include a protective nylon sheath for storage". They do not! This influenced my decision to buy and I probably would have picked a different style that did include the sheath if I had known.

Best Scissors on the market
I love Gingher scissors! They are the “BEST” scissors for sewing! My mother bought me my first pair 25 years ago when I became serious about quilting. They cut so easily through fabric and will last a lifetime if you make sure you only use them to cut fabric. I decided to purchase another pair to use in my sewing room and to pass down to my niece. They make cutting through fabric, even denim, effortless like slicing through butter. My arthritic hands need all the help they can get and the cut is true from end to end.

Scissors sharp but stiff
