Pittiful nonexistent customer service
I ordered this last month on the 19th, still have not received. worse yet cannot get any information from customer service, nor is there a way to cancel the order. Buyer beware of anything coming from Joan's. The worst customer service I have ever encountered. I should have went to Amazon.

Free Arm Feature
I bought the Janome because of the free arm feature. I had to sew hoops covered with fabric and this machine was perfect. I raised the foot as high as it was made to go and slipped the covered hoops right in. I like the fact that the arm doesn’t have a platform under it or I would not have been able to sew my project. The stitches were perfect. I like everything about the machine except one thing. The pressure foot is made of plastic and that being a major part, I wish it could have been made out of a good metal. I have an Elna serger and I have 2 plastic levers that broke. I do not abuse my machines, because they cost a lot of money. Overall, I’m satisfied with the machine’s performance.

GREAT machine!!
Cute and easy to use, great accessories and I had it up and sewing same day as getting it (after not using a machine in 15 years!) there are tons of helpful YouTube videos from Janome to help you get started and use the machine. There is also an automatic light above the needle that turns on when you turn the machine on. Highly recommend!

12 days after order placed & still hasn’t shipped
Placed order 11/30. It’s 12/13 and it’s still “processing.” Not a clue when it will ship. And not allowed to cancel or get my money back according to the AI “employee”, so I can’t buy in store or elsewhere without being out of pocket double the expense. Was to be a Christmas gift. Not anymore it looks like. Thanks, Joann. And they don’t take calls anymore it appears - email only “due to volume”. Wonder why? Because your customer service is horrendous.

Love the Janome Sewing Machine
I bought the Janome sewing machine for my 11 year old granddaughter and spent several days showing her how to use it. It’s a fantastic sewing machine for the price! If my sewing machine becomes to heavy for me to lift, I might switch it out for the Janome.

Adorable machine for new sewer or light duty
I bought this machine for a friend who is learning to sew. It has all the basic functions someone would need for just about any sewing. You could even quilt with this. The owner’s manual was easy to read and the illustrations were perfect. I had no trouble winding a bobbin and threading the machine. The tension was set correctly - no adjustments needed. It was easy to find the stitches and change from straight to zig zag and back. My only worry is the white printing on pale green. The lack of contrast could be difficult to read in low light or for people with eyesight issues. Overall, it’s a great machine for the price.

My new Janome machine is exactly what this grandma needed!!
I haven’t actively sewn for years but my 7 and 8 year old granddaughters wanted grandma to help them make ‘things’. I actually put my tired 50 year old sewing machine in the dumpster (with thanks for it’s many years of service) and bought this Janome. The little girls picked out material and fabric markers and we made darling kitty pillows!! This machine is just what I needed; basic, easy to learn, sturdy, and smooth stitching. It has rejuvenated my excitement for sewing!! Glad I have a JoAnn nearby. Nice employee gave me some pointers.

Perfect lightweight machine for a beginner or an expert.
This little machine is fun to sew with. Yes, it’s simple, but perfect for traveling since it’s so lightweight. I have a fancy machine, but needed one I could take on trips, including a plane. This little gem fits the bill. I’ve completed piecing a 78”x78” quilt on it and I’m very pleased with the tension and stitches. Next stop will be across country to make an Elizabethan ball gown for my daughter for a fundraiser ball.

Perfect for beginners and those on a budget
Perfect little machine for beginners. All features are straight forward and the included booklet is easy to understand. I had no problem spooling bobbins, threading the machine, and getting started on my projects. The power cord is a good length and the pedal has good length too. Much like driving a car, practice makes perfect and getting the hang of the sensitivity of the pedal is the only real learning curve in my opinion. Highly recommend for those wanting a budget friendly machine with just the basics.

It's my favorite color
I sold my higher-end Janome sewing machine at our garage sale, thinking I wouldn't need one for a while, until after we move and settle into a new home. Our plans changed, and we are renting while we do our house-hunting. I needed to make curtains!! I bought the Arctic Crystal because it was inexpensive, lightweight, and simple to use. It's a good machine, but I do miss the thread cutter behind the presser foot, it's annoying to have to grab a pair of snippers at the end of each seam. I also miss the built-in cover, but overall, it's a nice machine that I hope will last a long time.

I love my new Janome Sewing Machine! I have already made reusable paper towels for my family and this machine is very heavy duty!
