changed to lower quality since Mar 2021
I bought this fabric in March 2021 in purple and again in June and the brand/quality and most importantly the color has changed in just a few months. The underside of the fabric is now green (why?) where as the former, better fabric was dark and matched the color of the velvet. this new brand is too too shiny, not as deep or rich in color and all around just awful to the point that I'm shopping elsewhere. Joann had something really good here and decided to replace it with something cheap, really horrible stuff and intensely disappointing since I use this fabric as a shroud when I need to deliver a pet's body for cremation but I'll buy something else from a different store and will plan ahead to keep something suitable on hand and not need to step into Joann store again

Simply Gorgeous!

My first DIY window valance
It doesnt shed when u cut which is good. I made it a valance for window as a christmas decor DIY beginner sewing. Not bad although fabric is slippery for me as a beginner this fabric turned out beautifully coz it doesnt wrinkle.

Definitely worth it
I bought this fabric to make some curtains and I can definitely say that I will be buying more, one layer of the fabric is a bit see-through but if you put two layers back to back it gives you the perfect amount of privacy (you can not see through them but some light still comes through) I would definitely recommend giving this a try. I purchased 10 yards and I got four 86in curtains out of it and still had fabric left over! Definitely saved a lot of money and got the exact look I was going for <3

Sounds weird, but it makes great curtains!
My first curtains using the Navy have held up for 15 years! No kidding. I used thin cafe ring hooks and matching rod. No sewing at all because this fabric doesn’t run when cut. It curls just slightly so the edge disappears! I can open the curtain quickly with a toss of the fabric. It’s a colorful and playful way to inexpensively touch up a boring window. I recently used black for my moody 20 year old musician’s den. The black looks very stylistic and when light shines through it shimmers. I’ve only used Navy and Black but have considered the White for a closet door.
