they are HUGE
Forgive me wallet for ii have nearly nuked you. Okay When i saw this yarn i thought it was decently big..maybe the size of a normal skein...BOY WAS I WRONG CAUSE HOLY HECK THEY ARE THICKER THAN A SNICKER! After organizing all my yarn (that came in 2 boxes mind you.The other box was carons and a few red granny squares) Note to self: Never underestimate the pictures...again

Do not use for colour-pooling
I used Newspaper Stripes for 2 projects, one a German shells throw, the other a colour-pooling throw. Do not use for colour-pooling, the stripes are not consistent enough, I was constantly cutting and joining to make it work.

Comes opened
Yarn is thin and come open. Do not order online unless you are willing to gamble with Joann online service. They do not allow cancellations even if you just placed the order two minutes ago and need to add on an extra skein. The service is terrible and the product is trash. Do not order online go in person to see it !!!

Red Heart Favorite Stripes Yarn
I have shopped at Joann's for Red Heart Yarn for a while but instead of throwing it into a tote I grabbed a Favorite Stripes and was determined to make something. I thought I have a serious yarn obsession and I need to stop because I won't ever use it so I grabbed it. My best purchase of a confused skein of yarn. I mean the colors were all over the place so I started looking for a pattern. I tried the V Stitch from an online teacher. Walaa! It's the most beautiful crochet I have ever done and I am happy very happy I did so thank all of you and Red Heart for my perfect choice of yarn colors. I couldn't of done it without you in all of my frustrations. Honestly, I'm forever hooked! Me. I put a picture in Joann's show us what you made. The yarn felt right and is smooth and soft. It is easy for me to control my tension. Colors keep my interest. I want more and lots of it.

Good budget yarn
I bought this color in soft white and made a crochet blanket. It's not the softest yarn to work with but it does soften up once machine washed and dried. I made a lot of blankets over the years with this yarn and they held up well.

Stripe - Favorite Colorway
I bought this yarn super excited to make a rainbow Unicorn. I didn't realize it was striped with harsh color changes; every time there is a color change it looks like a sloppy color change (the colors don't blend). I also found lots of black splotches which I am assuming is from unprocessed dye? I'm not sure what it is, but it is super noticeable especially on lighter colors. I will be returning it which is a shame because I normally really like this brand.

Love color pooling with this yarn
Love color pooling with this yarn. My only objection is that it is even rougher to the touch than regular red heart yarn. Otherwise, I am pleased. I am especially pleased that I ordered 12 skeins of dye lot yarn and all 12 skeins were from same dye lot; a feat that Michaels did not achieve.

Big Skein Slight Problem
I bought a few of these skeins a month ago to make a cardigan and I loved the size. The downside is that the yarn is scratchy. I wouldn't recommend trying to make something super soft out of this yarn, but it is worth the size. I feel that it is up to personal preference in this situation but I found it to be worth the size but not the texture.

The Cherry Red Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo skein of yarn is perfect. The color is just the right shade of red, and at 14 oz/396g it will last through several projects! As usual, the yarn has a wonderfully soft hand. Excellent quality at an excellent price!

No dye lot? That is a lie.
I am almost at the end of crocheting a blanket but I needed one more skein of the Red Heart Super Saver “Aran”. I originally bought the jumbo skein, but when I went to buy new Aran yarn, the color was off (more yellow, instead of the sandy color I wanted). So, I then bought the regular super saver. That one was different from the other two. If these are “No dye lot” then why are all 3 a different color?

Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo Yarn Bonbon color lot
This is my first experience in lots of the same color (Bonbon) being different. Original skein was like bubble gum colors and new skein i ordered is in an autumnal range. I can not continue with my project. Even though the gauge is the same this yarn feels bigger and doesn’t have the same luster. The first set of skeins I used were lustrous and beautiful. This new set in the same color is very disappointing.

Gets Soft After Washing
I've read a lot of reviews that say this yarn is scratchy. Yes, it is when working with it, but when I wash something made with it, I use softener in the washer and a dryer sheet when I dry it. It softens right up. No need to soak it in shampoo and conditioner before washing as I've read on some sites. Someone told me that Red Heart uses a coating on their yarn. This might be true!
