Returns with a smile are super easy! Creativity shouldn’t be complicated, so you can return items any time (no time limit!) to our stores or by mail.  

 

Return In-Store

Whether your purchase was made in-store or on joann.com, last month or last year, you can visit any JOANN store for a hassle-free refund with a smile. See details below. 

 

  • • Returns made with the receipt will be refunded in the original method of payment.
  • • Refunds from online orders will not include the cost of shipping.
  • • If the merchandise was originally purchased with Cash or a PIN-based debit card, the refund will be given in the form of cash. Refunds over $100 may be paid by a check and mailed.
  • • Orders placed using a JOANN gift card will be refunded with a new JOANN e-gift card.
  • • Personal checks can only be refunded in cash up to $25.
  • • Receipts for online purchases, including Buy Online Pick-up In-Store purchases, can be looked up in-store using your JOANN.com order number.  
  • • If you don't have a receipt, choose an exchange or store credit based on the lowest price of the last 90 days. Photo ID required.
  • • All machines & electronics require a receipt for return. To return an opened or defective JOANN-branded machine (e.g. JOANN 100M Mechanical Sewing Machine, JOANN 200HDT Heavy-Duty Sewing Machine, etc.), you must provide a receipt to validate the length of the warranty period. All other brands of electronics (e.g. Singer, Brother, OttLite, etc.) must be returned with a receipt and in an unopened box, and we ask that you work directly with the manufacturer if their products are damaged upon purchase or become defective within the warranty period.
  • • Sewing Machines (all brands) & Cricut(R) Machines require a $25 restocking fee if returned by the customer.
  • • Items marked “Final Sale” at time of purchase cannot be returned for a refund or store credit.

Return By Mail

You can return online purchases by mail by contacting our Customer Care team through our Contact Us Form . Select Return Item(s) under My Question and include your order number and the items you wish to return and we will promptly provide you a return label. In-store purchases cannot be returned by mail. See details below:

 

  • • For items returned by mail, we refund the cost of the returned merchandise, minus a $7.95 return shipping & handling fee. We will send you an email confirming that the return has been completed on our end. 
  • • Refunds are in the form of original payment, so please note that your credit card company may take up to 10 additional business days to post the refund to your account.  
  •  • If the original form of payment was a gift card, a replacement gift card will be e-mailed to you. 
  •  • All machines & electronics require a receipt for return. JOANN+ Returns

In order to give you the best up front prices on our bulk items for JOANN+ orders, we do not accept returns. If there is a problem with your order that you need to resolve, please reach out to a Bulk Order Specialist and we'd be happy to assist you.
