We are using it for our band, which features 4 women, each with 4 outfits. Our backstage person will have it to remove any last minute wrinkles in the show dresses. Worked great on any fabric, and produces a ton of steam. Also functions well as just a normal steam iron as well. The unit does have some weight to it, which is why it is only 4 stars for design, but for the job it does that is acceptable. Very impressed!

It is essentially a steam powered iron that fits on top of a dock and the dock station holds the water tank. Very impressed on how it looks and even more impressed with all of the features that it offers. This is more advanced than your typical iron and you will have to read the manual included. Although there is a lot to the instructions they are very easy to understand and simple to read. Already comes pretty much installed. The iron seems very heavy duty and does have a little weight to it. The docking station is lightweight and the unit as a whole is compact and easy to maneuver and move in any space you are in. Works perfectly, although, you will have to understand the technique that is needed to run this steam pro. It has two time More steam output so it allows for faster ironing. Steam station generates enough power and penetration for the fabric you need to use it on. There are 400 steam holes in the iron plates which allows for a nice steam distribution. The large and removable water tank holds up to 57 oz of water and irons for about an hour to an hour and a half without refilling. The hose that is attached seems to be a little lengthy in my opinion but it does allow some distance for you to roam. Has the traditional precision tip on the iron. Ready to use in 2 minutes so it allowed for a fast setup. Claims to be eco-friendly with a 25% energy saving mode. Anti-scratch iron plate and stability movement when placing the iron upright. It has a fabric dial near the iron handle which is a very cool highlight and allows you to choose the fabric setting which manipulates the temperature. Easy on off mode on the back of docking station. Although this looks intimidating it does a very nice job.

My husband may not care about wearing wrinkled clothes, but I hate it! I used to get my clothes out of the dryer immediately and hang them, but now if I can’t do that, this steamer makes them look great with ease and speed. It’s awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful Steam Iron [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ROWENTA Compact Steam Pro is a powerful steam iron with 400 steam holes which provides enough steam to shorten the ironing process on removing those stubborn wrinkles. The system includes a water tank which is a great benefit to those who need to iron for a few hours. It is a different system in that the water enters the iron through a pump from the water tank. Tap water is the recommended water. The iron can also be used in a vertical position to steam clothing on a hanger. The only downside is not the iron itself but mislabeling of the iron…when I think of “compact”, I think of light weight, easily transported and small storage space. That is NOT this iron. It is as heavy or heavier than a traditional iron and requires ample space for storage. The advantage in storage would be that it can be stored on the water tank. The instruction book was a little to be desired. I am a little apprehensive when using a newly configured electrical appliance for the first time. Parts were not labeled and the directions referred to specific parts. It took me awhile to read and reread to feel safe before using the iron.

I have always used inexpensive irons, so this may have contributed to my disdain. I didn’t realize how much difference a good iron would actually make. The Rowena Compact Steam Pro has literally cut my ironing time in half because of its powerful steam. The only issue I have is that there’s not an automatic shut off. Other than that, I have no complaints.

The size of the water tank is a bonus, as it allows for uninterrupted work, even when we have to refill it. The iron itself does not disappoint and is easy to use, but when combined with steam, it proves to be a solid performer.

It is just something that I do not find fun. But when I absolutely need to do so, I want to have an iron that is reliable and of great quality. This is why I look for a brand that is synonymous with quality. One such brand is Rowenta. It is the gold standard in my book for clothing care. One of the best irons and steam stations I got is the Rowenta Compact Steam Station model VR8324. This thing is amazing. I swear that my lack of skill in ironing is erased because of how well the VR8324 does on my clothes. It is light and very compact (hence the name). My clothes come out crisp and smooth. There is very little effort needed to use this iron which is a bonus for me. When it comes to using it as a steamer, it is absolutely amazing. I did not need to take down the drapes in order to get rid of some of the wrinkles caused by them getting pinched between the wall and the couch. The steam function on the VR8324 took care of them in no time. I did not need to worry about running out of water for the steamer as the large reservoir holds more than enough to steam all the drapes in my house on one filling. Overall, set up is easy and maintenance and cleaning is equally so. Performance is fantastic and the value of having a compact iron and steamer that is both portable and functional is invaluable. The Compact Steam Station, VR8324 is a definite ten in my book!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and convenient [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The company steam station is perfect for my quick out the door option to get my work clothes free of wrinkles. I thought it was going to be complicated to set it up but it was super simple. Instructions are straight to the point, fill water making sure not to over fill, turn on and select the setting. I can turn it upright or on its side and it doesn’t affect any function. The cool thing is that steam only comes out when pressing that option. So it’s not a constant stream of steam, which I like and saves water within the steam station. I did about 5 days of my work clothes in 20 mins and it glides like butter on all materials so that I was able to get on with my day. The storing station is awesome. It actually locks the steam station in place so I can simply move it around without worrying since having 4 kids it’s really nice to know I can prevent accidental burns by enabling the lock. Really love this steam station overall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good results but too heavy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pretty excited about the new Rowenta VR83 Compact Steam Pro because of its large capacity. Right out of the box, the steamer included a handy printed information booklet that hit the highlights for set up, no need to search the internet for instructions that are always too hard to read on your phone. It took less than 2 minutes to remove the packaging and I was already using the iron. The base is made up of a super large water tank (57 ounces) that is easy to fill with just tap water in most cases and sits flat on the floor or on the end of a sturdy ironing board. There is a full-size Rowenta iron with 400 micro-steam holes for great steam distribution attached to the base by a hose so you can either use it as an iron or an ironing board or upright as a steamer to steam hanging garments, curtains, etc. One switch turns it on and in 2 minutes it is ready to go with a strong steam output. There are several steam settings and some non-steam settings as well. I ironed a shirt on the flat and then steamed the wrinkles out of a pair of slacks hanging on a hanger. Both had good results and did not take long at all. I was most curious to see how it performed on sheer curtains that I had hanging on a window that needed some attention. I was able to successfully get most of the wrinkles out, but the steam hose is not long enough to reach up to the top section of the curtains without moving the whole unit up onto a chair or table which makes it quite cumbersome. The hose could stand to be another 18” longer. Also, the full-size iron is pretty heavy to hold in the upright steaming position for a long period of time. I had to take several breaks to rest my arm. Overall in my experience, Rowenta products are reliable and built to last and this Compact Steam Pro is comparable to other Rowenta products I have owned over the years and far superior to the small handheld steamers you see everywhere on the market. I would recommend this particular model to anyone who does a lot of traditional ironing.

None of them gave me fast and professional ironing of wrinkles except for this one. At first, I thought I would have a hard time using this. The directions were straightforward. The only part that I thought I would have a tough time with is how heavy it was. The only way I was able to use it was on an ironing board. I took out the hardest clothes to get wrinkles out, and this took seconds to remove them. I can't tell you how impressed I was with the amazing results I witnessed. Even though it was heavy for me, it was 100% worth it. I love that it's compact and easy to store, long-lasting, and provides high-performance immediate results.

I am an avid quilted and seamstress and have wanted a really good iron. This one is wonderful! I love the size of the large water tank. I can sew all day and not have to stop to refill my reservoir. This is quite an upgrade and makes quick work of a lot of clothes. The only downside is that it's quite bulky but if your have the space for it and have the need, this is quality.

This steamer can be used both vertically and horizontally to remove wrinkles. The refillable reservoir is easy to fill and holds enough water for you to steam for over an hour without being refilled. The steamer has 400 steam holes that allow a large surface to be steamed at one time. One of my favorite features is the storing station that securely locks the steamer in place for easy transport.

It’s small enough to take with me when I go on business trips but big enough to handle the job. It is so easy to use and compact. It doesn’t need a lot of space to bring it with you. I have even taken it to work and used it before meetings. It is a bit expensive but if you don’t want to pay someone else every time, this will be worth every penny.

I'm constantly turning it back on! Miss the old days before these "safety" features and my old Rowenta would stay on until I turned it off.

As my quilting slowed, I went without an iron for many years. Needing an iron for many purposes, I began looking online for a professional but easy-to-use iron. Rowenta had everything I needed. Easy settings show what level of heat for which fabrics and materials. Deep steam and spray options. Easy to fill and remove extra water from the water chamber. However, last month, the iron started leaking through a hole under the water tank. The pump sounds a lot weaker now than when it was new. The steam is also significantly weaker that when I first bought it. For the money, I expected a better quality product.

Has a long cord so that is helpful when ironing far awy from an electrical outlet. Only takes a few mins to heat up.

It has a lot of nice updates but it does not steam like my old one. So I returned it because I was not impressed on how little the steam came out. I’m going to try a different one.

The steam is not as powerful, the water does not get hot, and most of the steam is after I pick up the iron. Not sure what all the other reviews are all about, but if I would be able to return, I would. Not worth the expensive price.
