Great All Purpose Machine
This was purchased as an all purpose machine to replace a 50 year old machine that lost all it's attachments in a house move. It is easy to use and great for all your general sewing needs.

A reduced grade replacement
Just purchased & opened but haven't used. It's a replacement for my ORIGINAL SINGER 1960s GOLDEN TOUCH & SEW which was only missing the thread guide was defective. Sewing machine still works except the defective part is no longer made & not available thru any repair shop.

A hint with the bobbin!
This is the perfect machine for simple sewing, many stitching options. User manual is online (you can print it or save in a PDF.) For everything except the bobbin, found the instructions for setting up and using the machine easy to follow as most of the directions are also shown on the machine itself as well. Had issues with stitching. While I had purchased it online, actually went to the store for assistance-they were pleasant and so helpful. FWI-when placing the threaded bobbin into the base, directions indicate to thread under a lower plastic "arm." Be aware the "arm" is only a guide to help you get the thread into the silver notch below it at just past 6:30 in the bobbin case. If the thread is not slipped into the silver notch, there will be no tension and stitching will be irregular. Rated at 4 stars ony due to the lightweight plastic the machine and accessories were made of. Otherwise, feel it's a great value!

A Great Way to Become a Sewer!
I bought the 3342 Singer machine for 2 of my granddaughters after much thought & research. The older 12 year old has LOVED it. She is using the you tube directions in learning the ins & outs of the machine. I found the YouTube directions excellent. Also, grandma has helped too! She is making simple pillows & blankets for her dolls at this time. I have used the machine some too. I feel it is easy to thread & to use the bobbin. The reason I gave it a 4 & not a 5 is I feel the pressure foot does not have a slow speed. There are times I want to sew slowly. I am hoping my grandkids have many happy times using this machine & are on their way to becoming better seamstresses than their grandma!

Very slow and low quality machine
I bought this for my twelve year old to use. It is very slow and frustrating to her. Just to sew the side of a blanket takes three times as long as my Babylock. The sewing machine was only used 5 times and then just stopped working. We troubleshooted everything and nothing. It just doesn’t work. Poor quality product. Done waste your money.

Disappointed
Very good machine, but does not have a light source, and does not come with a presser foot. I also could not get the thread to work properly, it kept bunching up, even when I changed the tension

3342 Fahion Mate lives up to the hype!
Broke my current sewing machine in the middle of an urgent project. I decided to go buy one to tide me over until I got my machine fixed. I ended up with this machine and love it so much that I am continuing to use it even though I have my other machine operational again. It's a silent workhorse.

Brand new to sewing
As someone new to sewing, this machine is straight forward to set up and use. I selected this brand because my mother in law, who was a professional seamstress, only used Singers.

Nice Machine for Beginners
Nice little machine for beginners especially. I have only used it a few times so far, but I am pleased with how quiet it is. Uses a smaller bobbin than my regular machine, but not really a problem. I bought this machine to take to my quilting group. The only PROBLEM I have is, that there is no guide for a 1/4" seam. The needle moves to the left, but will not move to the right to use the markings on the machine. I used some tape to mark my 1/4" spot which works ok. If the needle moved to the right, it would be great! Overall, I am pleased.

This is a great beginning sewing machine for anyone looking to learn more about the craft or just looking for more versatility. It is extremely user friendly, comes with all tools you need to start and also includes a tutorial video to show you exactly how to set up your machine, introductions to different settings, etc. i would totally recommend!

How much I like this machine
I’m quite happy with this machine. Already started a couple projects on it and so far there going great. This machine the bobbin loads in the top which is convenient when I got a couple back ups. It was easy to untangle and keep going.

I've only had it a couple of weeks, made a receiving blanket for my new granddaughter. Once I got comfortable with the machine, it worked/ran very well.

Good product
I just started sewing and machine is fairly easy to use. Dislike that no full manual or guide is included since I am just starting to sew and could use the reference without having to look everything up before I try it. But otherwise, the machine is great and easy to use.

Perfect Little Machine
I love my new sewing machine! My favorite thing about it is ease of use. I would prefer a front-load bobbin, but I’m not finding those available in as many machines these days. My first machine was a Singer, and I literally wore out the gears when sewing everything for my first show of my own clothing designs nearly 40 years ago. They are always dependable machines!

Singer has lost its allure
Growing up, Singer was the gold standard. My grandmother made everything on a Singer. I loved my first Singer, it was handed down to me from my grandmother and it lasted many years. I never should have parted ways with it. This machine and every Singer I've encountered that was produced in the last 20 years or so has been cheaply assembled, lacking in grace and precision, and simply not made to last. Right out of the box this model wouldn't sew any stitch that required the needle to move to the left. Not even a zig zag. I tried every combination on the dials I could come up with and nothing. It also sounded like a dishwasher running with a fork banging around on the bottom. It got hot very quickly, also. I returned it a couple of days after I bought it and purchased an old used sewing machine online that has already produced a dozen beautiful garments with zero issues. SAVE YOUR MONEY do not buy this. If you have to have a new machine, save up and get a Janome.

Great Machine!!
Easy to set up. Easy to use. As someone who hadn’t used a sewing machine in almost 20 years, I was blown away at how easy it was to get my machine threaded and ready to sew in under 5 minutes. The Singer app is SO useful!!! I had no idea what tension or stitch to use and it literally spells it out for you based on textiles! Highly recommend anyone who’s getting back into sewing to buy this machine!
