I bough these pans yesterday and made a cake today. Since my cakes always turn out higher in the middle I slice the top off even with the pan. They stack perfectly. I made a triple chocolate cake with whipped cream frosting in between the layers and used a chocolate icing for the rest of the cake. Turned out great. And the perfect size for 2 people

Great for a sprinkle explosion cake
It’s cracking me up reading the earlier reviews from people who didn’t apparently understand what size 6 inches is, but these pans are perfect for a fun colorful multi layer cake. 3/4 of a cup of batter is usually the perfect amount per pan. These totally make the process of making my daughter’s birthday cake faster and more efficient because I could bake all the layers at once instead of rotating the 1-2 pans I have. Also spraying with Baker’s Joy just makes the cake fall right out of the pan. Highly recommend.

I would not buy this product again or recommend it.
I have used them about 4 times and the non-stick coating is coming off and didn't work very well to begin with. I used wiped the interior with oil before use to no avail.

They're rounded slightly
The edges of the cake pans are sort of curved, the sides get wider toward the top of the pan rather than Going up in one straight line it's subtle but you can't really make a layer cake properly with pans like this. Probably meant so they can stock easily for storage and transportation but problems for their intended purpose which is baking layer cake

Easy to bake with and easy to clean
I bought this for my granddaughter to practice making layer cakes. The cakes bake evenly and quickly and come out of the pans so easily I think I need a set for myself. The resulting layers stack so nicely and are just the right size for a small layer cake. She loves designing the cakes there are so many layers to color.

They are so much fun to bake with
Recently, I found a set of 5 in my favorite thrift store. I knew they were quality because of the Wilton logo but no other information. I used them for baking loaves of bread, yielding five enormous burger buns. So cute! I also baked some peanut butter cakes then spread one with strawberry preserves and topped with another cake, topping it with a bit of whipped cream. They were "giant " pb and j" sandwiches. My son absolutely loved them.

I wish there was an exact measurement for how much batter goes in the pans. I coated the pans even though they are nonstick & I got super crunchy edges. Guess I'll keep testing the recipes.

Easy-peasy!
Easy to use and perfect with Wilton's easy release spray. The pans are slightly fluted, so the sides are not perfectly vertical, but they're not very tall, so it's still easy to frost the sides. I used a gluten-free cake mix and each pan held 3/4 cup. With a regular mix it's likely to be 1 cup.

I make all my kids' birthday cakes with these!
I really like that one recipe fills these pans so I do not need to worry about making extra or having tons of batter left over. I like the small diameter of these pans because then the cake can fit inside my German birthday ring. With some shortening and flour inside each pan I haven't had any issues with cake sticking. Some reviewers have expressed concern at the pans being rounded and worrying how the layers well stack, but I haven't had any issues. Every cake I've made using these have turned out great!

Fun and Pretty!
Made my first rainbow cake last night and it was really beautiful. I recommend buying the Wilton cake comb set for finishing the sides. To all the people who complain about it being too small - it's the same as a two layer nine inch cake, just, tall! It comfortably served a cake-loving family of four with half a cake left over, so I'd say it makes eight slices. It's a real showstopper. Very easy to crown also.
