Clasp Failure
The clasp part does not hold well. I’d the little arms were bent a little more it wouldn’t come undone so fast.

Works great for its intended purpose, but don’t go trying to make it do something it shouldn’t.
It’s great if you don’t have the time or tools to make your own closures like this. I have the tools and materials, but not the time. It got the job done for the cloak I designed, and it looks decent. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for any heavy-duty latching jobs. If you’re going to be using this for, say, a costume cape or a decorative closure, it’s fine. For the vast majority of applications, especially sewing applications, this will get the job done. If you expect it’ll see a lot of pulling (for example, as a closure for a chain-maille or heavy leather piece worn by a historical reenactor), you’re better off busting out your 16-18 AWG 304 wire, forming pliers, cutters, and deburring tools for a DIY job. But there’s a very good chance that if the term “16-18 AWG 304 wire” made perfect sense to you, you already know by looking at the photo that this clasp isn’t fit for that sort of application.

Pleasing to the eye!
Classically beautiful clasps for a jacket. This piece draws the eye again and again! Joanne’s has some really wonderful adornments to sew on to blue jeans or to add onto jackets.
