Rated 1 out of 5 by from Most irksome needles I've used From the outset, I must say I am a new knitter. So many knitters sang the praises of circular needles so I had to try them. I can certainly see their advantages. But these bamboo needles drive me crazy. First, the connection area between the needle and the plastic tubing makes it very difficult to slide stitches. I don't knit particularly tight, but I found that moving stitches onto the needle is a battle. Secondly - and probably the worst thing - the plastic cable insists on twisting, no matter what I do. I've tried soaking in hot water, straightening on a pants hanger, massaging with my fingers, etc. I even store them stretched out on a hanger. Doesn't matter - that cable will twist again.I bought three pairs. Big waste of money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I won't knit with anything else! I have been knitting since I was 5 years old...which was a LOT of moons ago:-) I started knitting on handemade wooden needles that belonged to my great grandmother. These were nice to work with as the yarn did not slip as much as I discovered metal needles did later on, but guage accuracy was a problem. Also, if you sit on metal needles (ouch) they either bend you out of shape or you bend them out of shape:-) I've used plastic, which tends to bend (or snap) and creates muscle strain. But NOTHING has ever been so wonderful to work with as bamboo circular needles. No arm strain, less weight, less slippage, small and compact (can be taken on airlines!) Once you get used to working on circular needles you will never go back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I've spent the better part of 15 years putting off learning how to knit because I love to crochet and knitting was always so hard. Metal needles just didn't provide what I needed, I constantly had dropped stitches, and I could never get the hang of it. These bamboo needles have changed all that. After reading the reviews, I purchased a set of nines and eights, and am proud to say Im knitting like a pro (working on a maternity sweater right now) and I LOVE it. I think I'll end up loving it more than crocheting. A whole new world of garment construction has opened up to me and Im so excited! Thank you Clover!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good These are good circulars. I love the points on them; they make these needles wonderful to work with. However, I have a small issue with the join between the cable and needle. It's not very smooth & so the yarn doesn't flow over them easily. Otherwise, I love these needles a lot. (I bought these circs because the set of bamboo straights I got were so great!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellant Product I knit all the time and these are the greatest things since pop corn. Excellant material. The yarn just glides over the needles and I LOVE these!! Wish I had a pair long ago. I wont use anything else now. Ive had metal ones and plastic ones. The metal ones are horrible, and the plastic are good, but the bamboo is exceptional! Thanks!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best needles ever I've been knitting for a few years now and have collected a few needle cases full of various types of needles, but bamboo are by far my favorite. The yarn slides easily over it when you need to work with it, but has enough traction to keep the yarn on your needles when you put it down for a break. I have a set of Susan Bates circular aluminum needles and I really dislike them because the tapering from the needle to cord is very abrupt and makes it difficult to slide the yarn along from cord to needle. Clover needles have a smooth taper and are very easy and enjoyable to work with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best needles anywhere... I've used both the metal and bamboo knitting needles and by far prefer (and highly recommend) the bamboo circular needles. They're a bit awkward at first, but I'll never go back to the straight needles......your project never falls off the needles -- just slide it back down on the circular cord, and you're safe. Absolutely the best thing since sliced bread. Downside is they're a bit pricey, but definitely worth the investment.
